Description
Product Overview: Flexible Indoor Cabling Solution
The GJXFH Indoor FTTH Drop Cable (Butterfly Type) is engineered for the final link inside residential and commercial buildings. Unlike outdoor cables, it features a Non-Metallic (FRP) design, making it fully dielectric and immune to electromagnetic interference—perfect for routing alongside power lines in risers or walls.
Key Benefits
- Bend-safe performance: G.657A2 option maintains low attenuation at tight corners.
- All-dielectric safety: dual FRP strength members, non-conductive, no short-circuit risk.
- Fire-aware jacket: LSZH, low smoke and halogen-free; CPR options on request.
- Easy indoor handling: flat profile, clean stripping, compatible with fast connectors.
- Stable mechanics: balanced tensile/crush ratings for stapling, trunking and raceways.
Typical Applications
- In-building last-meter runs from floor box/ONT closet to the room
- MDU/SDU vertical risers and horizontal distribution
- Surface trunking, conduits, raceways, decorative moldings
- Renos and retrofits where bend radius and fire safety are critical

Installation Notes
- Keep ≥15 mm during pulling/placing; after routing maintain ≥10 mm static.
- Avoid hard kinks at door frames; use smooth radii inside trunking or conduits.
- LSZH is intended for indoor; for outdoor transitions, use rated entry hardware or transition cord.
Engineer’s FAQ
Q: Why use FRP instead of Steel for indoor?
A: FRP (Fiber Reinforced Plastic) is non-conductive. This ensures safety when the cable passes near electrical conduits or power sockets inside the home, eliminating shock hazards.All-dielectric, flat “butterfly” FTTH indoor drop with dual FRP strength members and LSZH jacket. Designed for tight turns, safe routing near power, and fire-aware buildings. Recommended with G.657A2 fiber for low-loss bends around door frames and skirting.
Q: Can I use this cable outdoors?
A: It is not recommended for long outdoor spans due to lower tensile strength (200N) compared to our aerial cables (600N). For outdoor last-mile, please use our GJYXCH Aerial Cable.
Q: Will tight corners degrade speed?
A: Use G.657A2. It controls macro-bend loss at small radii so throughput remains stable around corners.
Q: Is it safe near power lines or metal conduits?
A: Yes. The cable is all-dielectric (FRP), non-conductive, and does not require bonding/grounding.
Q: Does it meet fire considerations?
A: The jacket is LSZH. CPR classes (e.g., Eca/Cca) can be provided upon request for EU projects.
Q: Can I use fast connectors on site?
A: Yes. The flat profile and 0.25/0.9 mm preparation support common SC fast-connect tooling.
Q: One or two fibers?
A: Both 1F and 2F builds are available. Choose 2F when a spare or future upgrade path is desired.
