Description

1) What This Series Is
This is a pre-connectorized FIG-8 FTTH drop cable series for last-mile connections between the distribution point (CTO/FAT/terminal) and the subscriber premise.
It uses a 5×2 mm FIG-8 drop structure (GJYXCH platform) and is supplied connectorized from the factory to deliver stable optical performance and shorten field work during mass rollouts.
2) Why Field Teams Choose It
Designed for faster turn-ups
- Factory connectorization reduces variability caused by field termination and speeds activation workflows. - Built for outdoor handling
- Outdoor jacket options and a hardened connector format support humid, coastal, or high-temperature routing environments. - Reel-based deployment
- 500 m reel packaging supports repeatable pull-out and cut-to-length routines in neighborhoods and MDUs. - Grey jacket option
- RAL 7004 grey is available UV-Resistant Grey LSZH Jacket

| Minimum bend radius | Follow project spec; typical ≥20×OD install, ≥10×OD operation |
Note for publishing: If you have an internal AIMIT lab sheet for your own GJYXCH 5×2 mm build, replace “typical” with your exact verified numbers.
Packaging
| Packaging Type | Standard | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Reel | 500 m / reel | Core request for neighborhood builds |
| Length options | Cut-to-length available | For contractors using fixed BOM |
| Labeling | Custom marking + meter marks | Operator standards, traceability |
| OEM | Logo / bag / carton / pallet | Brand consistency for rollouts |

Applications
- FTTH/FTTP subscriber drops: CTO/FAT/terminal to home entry
- FIG-8 self-supporting routing along exterior walls and light aerial spans (with proper hardware)
- Fast subscriber activation where the field team wants to avoid field polishing/splicing at the connector end
Installation Notes
- Pull from reel, route first, then mate the hardened SC/APC end at the terminal/CTO
- Keep connectors capped until final mating; clean before connect
- Avoid tension directly on the connector; use strain relief where needed
- Separate messenger where required and secure with approved clamps
FAQ
- Is this the same product as “Drop FO Cable 5×2 mm 500 m reel 1-end SC/APC” and “Pre-connectorized FIG-8 GJYXCH 5×2 mm”?
Yes. It is the same FIG-8 5×2 mm platform, offered in different termination and packaging configurations. - Why choose a 500 m reel instead of cut-to-length?
Reel deployment helps crews pull out the exact length, reduce waste, and standardize neighborhood installation routines. - What does “one end connectorized” mean?
One end is factory-terminated with a hardened SC/APC connector; the other end is left free for routing/termination per site practice. - Can you provide two ends connectorized?
Yes. We can supply single-ended or double-ended assemblies based on your network standard. - Is grey jacket available?
Yes—RAL 7004 grey is available; black is also possible. - What fiber type do you recommend for last-mile bends?
Bend-insensitive single-mode (commonly G.657 family) is preferred for tight routing and indoor entry. - What is the typical IL/RL for the SC/APC hardened end?
Typical IL <0.15 dB (max <0.3 dB) and RL >60 dB. - Is it suitable for humid/coastal installs?
Yes—outdoor jacket options and hardened connectors are designed for harsh outdoor environments. - Can strength members be FRP or steel?
Yes—projects often specify FRP or steel based on routing, lightning policy, and mechanical needs. - Can you add custom marking and meter marks?
Yes—available for traceability and operator standards. - Do you provide test documentation?
Yes—available upon request (IL/RL test, inspection records, etc.). - MOQ and lead time?
Depends on connector type, length plan (reel vs cut), and packaging; we will confirm with your BOM.
Terms / Notes
- OEM/ODM supported (logo, printing, packaging, labeling)
- Bulk production with consistent QC and traceability
- Samples available for validation before rollout

👨🔧 Technician's FAQ: Aerial Drop Cables
Q: What is the tensile strength of this GJYXCH cable?
A: This self-supporting cable features a 1.0mm Phosphate Steel Messenger Wire, providing a short-term tensile strength of 600N and long-term strength of 300N, suitable for standard residential spans.
Q: Can I separate the messenger wire for termination?
A: Yes. The "Figure-8" design features a thin web between the messenger wire and the optical unit, allowing installers to easily peel back and separate the steel wire for clamping, while the fiber unit enters the closure or NID.
Q: Is this cable suitable for direct outdoor exposure?
A: Yes. The jacket is made from UV-stabilized LSZH material designed to withstand outdoor weather conditions while complying with indoor fire safety standards (Class 1).
