Simplex Armored Fiber Optic Cable with Metal Braiding — Stainless-Steel Spiral Tube, 0.6/0.9 mm Tight Buffer, 3.0/3.3 mm

Rodent-resistant simplex armored cable featuring a stainless-steel spiral tube + metal braiding, 0.6/0.9 mm tight buffer, aramid yarn strength, and PVC/LSZH/OFNR/OFNP jackets. Compact 3.0/3.3 mm OD with high tensile & crush performance—ideal for pigtails, patch cords, and direct runs to panels and equipment.

Description

What it is
This simplex armored round cable enhances the classic stainless-steel spiral tube armor with an extra metal braided layer under the outer jacket. Together with aramid yarn and a flame-retardant jacket (PVC, LSZH/LSOH, OFNR/OFNP, PE, or TPU), it delivers high indentation/crush and tensile strength in a small OD profile.

Where it’s used

  • Armored patch cord & pigtail assemblies
  • Floor/wall-corner routing and equipment-room runs to ODF/patch panels
  • FTTH/ODN drops where rodent protection and durability are essential
  • Mixed indoor environments requiring LSZH/OFNR/OFNP compliance (choose grade per code).

Why it’s practical

  • Direct termination to sub-units simplifies installation/maintenance
  • Rodent-resistant metal tube + metal braiding protect against biting/crushing
  • Tight bend radius and flexible handling reduce pathway conflicts
  • Use similar to “electric-wire” routing—always observe local building code (plenum/risers).

Key Benefits

  • Dual armor system: stainless-steel spiral tube plus metal braiding for superior anti-bite and crush resistance.
  • Compact 3.0/3.3 mm OD with 0.6/0.9 mm tight buffer for easy routing and direct termination.
  • High tensile performance with aramid yarn reinforcement (400 N short-term / 200 N long-term).
  • Flexible, small bend radius for dense pathways and tight corners.
  • Multiple jacket grades (PVC, LSZH/LSOH, OFNR/OFNP) to match building codes.
  • Singlemode primary with MM options, enabling consistent builds across sites.
