Description
GJYXCH Aerial FTTH Drop Cable | Figure-8 Self-Supporting
Target users: ISP engineers, contractors | Typical scenarios: pole-to-building last-mile aerial spans ≤ 50 m | Core pains solved: anti-break (high tensile), anti-rust (phosphate steel), easy stripping (V-groove).

Product Overview: The Last-Mile Aerial Solution
The GJYXCH Self-Supporting FTTH Drop Cable is engineered for the final 100 meters of connectivity—from the distribution pole directly to the subscriber’s building. Unlike standard indoor cables, this model integrates a 1.0 mm Phosphate Steel Messenger Wire, providing the tensile strength needed to withstand wind loads and ice accumulation in outdoor environments.
- Anti-break: 600 N short-term tensile supports pole-to-house runs up to 50 m without excessive sag.
- Anti-rust: Phosphate steel messenger outperforms galvanized wire in corrosion resistance for long service life.
- Easy strip: A dedicated V-groove between messenger and fiber unit plus ripcord enables fast, tool-light stripping.
Key Features
- Figure-8 self-supporting structure with separable messenger for simple anchoring and termination.
- Triple reinforcement: 1× steel messenger + 2× parallel steel/FRP strength members for robust handling.
- Fiber options: G.652D / G.657A1 / G.657A2 for tight-bend access (7.5 mm min. bend).
- Jacket: UV-resistant LSZH, matte black, outdoor rated; clean meter-marking and traceable lot print.
- Compatibility: standard field fast-connectors, pre-terminated SC/APC or SC/UPC available.

Installation & Accessories
Use pole hardware designed for flat drop: drop wire clamps, dead-ends, pole brackets, and house attachments. Maintain recommended bend radii and avoid excessive torsion on the messenger during tensioning.

Engineer’s FAQ
- Q: Will the steel wire rust over time?
A: No. We use Phosphate Steel Wire, which offers superior corrosion resistance versus standard galvanized wire, supporting long outdoor service life. - Q: Is it easy to strip in the field?
A: Yes. A V-groove between the messenger and fiber unit plus a ripcord enables fast, clean separation without special tools. - Q: Can I avoid metal messengers entirely?
A: Choose the FRP messenger variant (GJYXFCH) for metal-restricted or highly corrosive coastal areas. - Q: What is the recommended span?
A: Up to 50 m per run under standard wind/ice conditions; verify locally if loads are unusually high. - Q: Is it compatible with field fast connectors?
A: Yes. The 5.3×2.0 mm profile matches common FTTH fast-connect tooling. Factory pre-terminated versions are available.
