Description
- Select GYTS (Steel) if you need high crush resistance or anti-rodent protection.
- Select GYTA (Aluminum) if you are installing in high-humidity ducts and need superior moisture blocking.

Key Benefits
- Aluminum moisture barrier: APL armor blocks water ingress and resists corrosion in wet ducts.
- Lighter build: easier handling and faster lashing than steel-armored cables.
- Strong backbone: central phosphated steel wire controls tensile and thermal strain.
- Full flooding: gel in tubes plus 100% core filling for longitudinal water blocking.
- Broad counts and optics: 2–144F, OS2 G.652D standard; G.657A1/A2 and MM options on request.

Product Overview
GYTA is a stranded loose-tube outdoor cable that replaces corrugated steel tape with aluminum polyethylene laminate (APL). Color-coded fibers sit in gel-filled PBT tubes, stranded around a central steel strength member. The armored core is wrapped with APL and sheathed with black PE. The result is a duct-optimized, lightweight cable that provides an excellent moisture barrier, stable tensile performance, and reliable operation across wide temperature ranges.
Typical Applications
- Long-haul and metro duct systems in humid/coastal regions
- Lash-to-messenger aerial distribution (non-self-supporting)
- Feeder rings for FTTH/FTTx, campus, utility, and municipal networks
- Routes where weight reduction and moisture protection are priorities
Construction (center outward)
- Central strength member: phosphated steel wire (PE-sheathed on smaller counts)
- Loose tubes (PBT) with thixotropic gel; color-coded fibers
- Flooded cable core (100% filled)
- Aluminum Polyethylene Laminate (APL) moisture-barrier armor
- Outer sheath: UV-resistant black PE; ripcord under jacket

E) Standards & Compliance
- ITU-T G.652D; optional G.657A1/A2, OM2/3/4
- IEC 60794-1/-5 mechanical and environmental methods
- RoHS/REACH materials; CPR class available on request (EU tenders)

Installation & Handling
- Duct: use approved pulling eyes/swivels and compatible lubricant; respect 20×OD bend during pulls.
- Aerial (lashed): follow messenger tension/span rules; APL armor is not a self-supporting messenger.
- Sealing: close handholes and duct ends; flooding protects longitudinally but does not replace proper sealing.
- Bonding/earthing: where required by local code, bond/earth the APL armor.
- Storage: keep drums upright; observe minimum flange diameters to maintain bend radius.
