Simplex Armored Fiber Optic Cable, Singlemode — Stainless-Steel Tube, 0.6/0.9 mm Tight Buffer, 2.0/3.0 mm

Rodent-resistant simplex armored singlemode cable with stainless-steel spiral tube, 0.6/0.9 mm tight buffer, aramid yarn strength, and PVC/LSZH/OFNR/OFNP jacket options. Compact 2.0/3.0 mm OD, high tensile & crush resistance—ideal for pigtails, patch cords, direct runs to panels and equipment.

Description

What it is
This simplex armored round cable protects the fiber with a stainless-steel spiral tube (SUS204) and aramid yarn layer, then finishes with a flame-retardant outer jacket (PVC, LSZH, OFNR, OFNP, LSOH, PE, or TPU). The design delivers high indentation/crush and tensile strength with a small OD for easy routing and field termination.

Where it’s used

  • Armored patch cord & pigtail assemblies
  • Floor/wall corner runs, trunking, equipment rooms, ODF/patch panels
  • FTTH/ODN drops where rodent protection and durability are required
  • Mixed indoor environments needing LSZH/OFNR/OFNP jacket grades

Construction highlights

  • Tight buffer: 0.6 mm or 0.9 mm (PVC/LSZH)
  • Armor: stainless-steel spiral tube (micro-diameter for flexibility)
  • Strength: aramid yarn (Kevlar)
  • Jacket options: PVC, LSZH/LSOH, OFNR/OFNP, PE, TPU (multiple colors)
  • Singlemode primary, multimode options available (OM2/OM3/OM4)

Why it’s practical

  • Direct termination to sub-units simplifies installation and maintenance
  • Rodent-resistant metal tube avoids fiber damage in harsh builds
  • Small bend radius and flexible handling reduce pathway conflicts
  • Can be used in runs similar to “electric wire” routing scenarios (observe local code)
